IWCL September Meeting : Women upholding “half sky” or more, by Aurora Chen and Eleonora Rossi

Aurora is a seasoned vision and strategy executive with business P/L responsibility and multi-discipline leadership. She has over 25 years’ experience in leading multinational, culturally diverse organisations in developed; emerging and developing markets.
Aurora started her first 12 years professional career in Switzerland and Germany managing international markets based in Europe. She then moved to Asia and served 13 years as senior corporate executive for Swiss Nestle SA and US Coca-Cola Company. She successfully catalysed and implemented global strategy in specific country business.
Aurora is Swiss with Chinese ethnic, speaking English, Chinese, Italian and German. She completed her education in International Business holding eidg. Dipl. certification of Marketing Communication in Switzerland. She is also a certified executive coach in Australia with passion to equip talented people in the organisations to unleash their full potential to achieve better performance both in their personal life and professional career.
Eleonora, during her 44 years of service since 1974 at the Italian Foreign Office (MAE – Ministero Affari Esteri), has covered a broad spectrum of functions in various Italian diplomatic
representations throughout the western world. She had done her work as Consul General in Hannover and Lugano, Head of the legal and notary office at the General Consulate in New York, Head of the Administration and accounting office, Officer in charge of international treaties and so on. However, the professional life within the foreign office represents a combination of callings to service in Rome and assignments to consulates and embassies abroad:
1974-1984 Italian Embassy in Bonn heading the Consular Section for over eight years;
1986-1991 Italian Consulate General in New York responsible for the legal and notary office;
1994-2000 Consulate General in Lugano;
2005-2009 Consulate General of Hannover as Vice Consul and Consul General;
2012-2017 Consulate General in Lugano as Vice Consul and Consul General.
Eleonora has concluded her university studies in Rome with a degree in Administration Sciences (Faculty of Law).
