DESCRIPTION:Following the feedback from our questionnaire at the January Monthly Meeting\, it seems that the idea of ‘Charity’ within IWCL is something that concerns many of us. \nWe therefore propose to hold an open forum\, where anyone with a view\, suggestion or comment to make regarding the future of our charity work can come along for a free discussion with other members. We want to hear your thoughts\, so if you are unable to attend the forum\, please don’t hesitate to send Sue an email so we know what you think. \n2020 is not an official charity year – but we need to plan ahead for 2021. Last year\, nobody came forward to form a committee and our President took the bulk of fundraising activity upon her own shoulders. Please note that attendance at the forum does not commit you to any further involvement in any Club charity work. However\, it is not the role of the IWCL Board to form our charity committee – this should be made up of a group of members\, who will\, of course\, be fully supported by the Board. \nWe wish to make it clear that if no members come forward to form a Charity Committee for 2021 (in accordance with our official Club procedure) then there will be no formal charity functions organised by the Board. \nWe want to make sure that all members are able to make their views known\, and to ensure that you feel consulted about the future of ‘Charity.’ We will take everyone’s views into account\, and your opinions will inform any decisions taken regarding ‘Charity’ matters going forward. Therefore\, we urge you to come along – your opinion is important to us.
