DESCRIPTION:“Epigenetics: the conscious choice of one’s own reality” \nIn recent years\, many scientific discoveries have demonstrated unequivocally that we are not exclusively predetermined at the genetic level as traditionally thought. Our way of thinking and nourishing ourselves and our emotions have a huge impact on the control of our genes\, on our cells and consequently on our state of health. With Dr. Francesca Pistollato we will try to understand how these mechanisms of regulation take place and how we can best influence them with appropriate choices\, with the awareness that our psycho-physical well-being depends also\, and above all\, on us. \nFrancesca Pistollato graduated in Biology from the University of Padua\, where she obtained a PhD in Developmental Sciences and Programming Medicine. She has worked in the neuroscience sector both in the United States and later at the University of Padua. She is currently working at the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre (Ispra\, Varese) on alternative methods to animal testing in toxicology and biomedical research. She is the author and co-author of numerous scientific publications\, scientific books\, and presentations at national and international conferences. Amongst her works\, the book on the topic of her talk is “Epigenetica: La Scelta consapevole della propria Realtà” (available only in Italian).
